Overview
OQ is seeking an instrument engineer to plan and support instrumentation maintenance across the SR2 refinery units in Sohar. The engineer also acts as technical lead for minor instrument projects and plant modifications.
Key responsibilities
- Plan preventive and corrective maintenance for field instruments and control systems
- Troubleshoot PLCs and control loops and test emergency shutdown valves
- Review management-of-change requests, join HAZOP studies and handle spare parts
- Coordinate maintenance contractors and equipment vendors
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of control valves, flowmeters and analysers
- Understanding of SIL/ESD functional safety and Foundation Fieldbus
- Working knowledge of ASME, API and ASTM standards
- Experience using SAP PM or another CMMS
