Overview
SOMS is recruiting a resident construction engineer on contract in Oman to supervise daily site works on major real estate or infrastructure projects, coordinating contractors and consultants and reporting progress and issues.
Key responsibilities
- Supervise day-to-day construction against approved drawings, specifications, quality and HSE requirements
- Coordinate contractors, consultants and project teams and monitor contractor performance
- Review drawings, method statements and work procedures and resolve technical site issues
- Attend site meetings and inspections and report progress and delays to senior project engineers
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or diploma in civil or construction engineering
- At least 10 years of construction experience, including 6 years in the Middle East
- Experience on major real estate or infrastructure projects and strong site supervision skills
- Good English and skills in MS Office and construction or project management software
