Overview
SOMS is recruiting a senior QA engineer on contract in Oman to lead quality assurance and control across engineering, procurement, construction and commissioning, including ISO 9001 audits and contractor quality oversight.
Key responsibilities
- Lead and monitor QA/QC across engineering, procurement, construction, testing and commissioning
- Review and approve quality plans, inspection test plans and procedures
- Assess contractor and vendor quality systems against ISO 9001 and lead audits and corrective actions
- Track non-conformances and quality KPIs, prepare dashboards and train project teams
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably civil or mechanical
- At least 10 years of QA/QC experience, including 4 years in quality management systems
- ISO 9001 Lead Auditor certification or equivalent
- Strong MEP knowledge, audit and inspection experience, and fluent English
