Overview
SOMS is hiring a hydrojetting technician in Oman to clean shell-and-tube and fin-fan heat exchangers with high- and ultra-high-pressure water jetting at oil, gas and refinery sites, while following strict safety and permit procedures.
Key responsibilities
- Carry out high- and ultra-high-pressure water jetting on tube-side, bundle and shell-side of heat exchangers
- Operate, inspect and maintain jetting units, selecting suitable pressures and nozzles
- Identify and report blocked or damaged tubes and verify cleaning quality
- Complete job reports and follow HSE, permit-to-work, lock-out and confined-space rules
Requirements
- Technical diploma or trade certificate in a mechanical or industrial cleaning discipline, or equivalent practice
- 2 to 4 years of hands-on industrial hydrojetting experience
- Experience in oil and gas or refinery environments
- Knowledge of heat exchanger construction and jetting hazards
