Overview
SOMS is hiring an experienced on-the-job trainer on a 12-month contract in Oman to plan and deliver a structured training programme for 30 trainee panel operators, technicians and supervisors at an LNG facility.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a 12-month on-the-job training programme for three trainee groups
- Schedule rotations across operations and maintenance areas with shift supervisors
- Run competency gap analysis, keep development plans and coach and assess trainees
- Reinforce HSE practices, monitor performance and report progress and risks to the L&D manager
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical, instrumentation, mechanical or process/chemical engineering
- 15+ years of LNG operations or maintenance experience, including 5 years as a senior trainer or assessor
- Train-the-trainer, instructional design or competency assessor certification (OPITO standards)
- Excellent English, with Arabic an advantage; plant start-up training experience is strongly preferred
