Overview
The Central Bank of Oman's Economic Research Department is recruiting an Omani analyst to help compile the balance of payments and improve the quality of international transaction reporting data. The role feeds statistics into CBO's annual report and bulletins.
Key responsibilities
- Compile and validate the current account of the balance of payments quarterly and annually
- Review ITRS data daily, run validation checks and follow up reporting errors
- Support the ITRS enhancement project and maintain documentation

- Coordinate with external agencies to obtain required data
Requirements
- Degree in economics, statistics, finance, accounting, banking or data analytics
- 3-7 years of relevant experience, ideally in a central bank, statistics agency or financial institution
- Training in statistical and econometric tools is an advantage
- Strong analytical and report-writing skills
