Overview
The Dhofar II Wind IPP is hiring a mechanical engineer for its wind farm site in Dhofar. The engineer supervises erection, installation, testing and commissioning of wind turbine mechanical works in line with OEM requirements and Sembcorp HSSE standards.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate crane lifts and erection of towers, nacelles, hubs and blades
- Inspect turbine components on receipt and during installation
- Coordinate bolting, torquing, alignment and hydraulic checks before commissioning
- Work with EPC contractors and turbine OEMs to keep the schedule on track
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 3–5 years of project or site execution experience
- Hands-on wind turbine installation and erection experience preferred
- Knowledge of cranes, heavy lifting and mechanical completion
