Overview
SalamAir is looking for an engineer in Muscat to plan and forecast aircraft parts, components and consumables for scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, keeping stock at the right level and aircraft downtime low.
Key responsibilities
- Forecast material needs from maintenance programmes, work packages and fleet utilisation
- Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Procurement and Stores on material requirements
- Monitor stock levels and reorder parameters for assigned material groups
- Support provisioning for modifications, retrofits and fleet changes
- Escalate critical shortages and supplier delays and propose corrective action
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Aeronautical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent
- 5+ years' experience, including planning
- Supply chain experience (material planning, inventory, repair management) preferred
- Airline or MRO experience is an advantage
